Over the past two days, my students and I have been playing with “squishy circuits“. Here’s B. testing out a funky-looking parallel circuit. When he presses the two sides together, the lights and the propellor go out. The electrons traveling through the wires want to travel the shortest route of least resistance, through the two parts of the dough, rather than the long wires.
Why go so far when you can take a “short” cut? This is what a “short circuit” is.
