Wildlife Spotting

Having lived up north for eight months, I finally spotted wild caribou for the first time on the James Bay Highway! They’re a lot smaller than I thought. They’re beautiful and carefree, just frolicking in the middle of the road. We watched them until a car coming in the opposite direction frightened the back into the woods.

I should notes – screwed up the light exposure on this one; it was actually taken around 10 am this morning on a bright, sunny day. We packed up and are headed back south for another two-day drive over 1500 km. Next two weeks in Collingwood, Ontario for staff training and program development.
