Breakfast Ideas

One of my bad habits is cooking pancakes for breakfast. A few times this year, I caught myself making pancakes two or three times during the work week. No berries or fruit on top; I often snarfed it with a plain ol’ pat o’ butter!

I need to kick the habit, but in order to do so, I had to substitute it with something else. Last week, I bought some Quaker’s Low Fat Bran Muffin Mix off IGA. Not only is it low in fat, but the nutritional information shows it has a decent amount of fibre and iron. With the silicon cups I bought back in the fall, I baked a few with some frozen blueberries and raspberries. It only took 20 minutes, which would be okay with my morning weekday routine. I ended up inhaling two (alright, I put some margarine on it) and I found them to be pretty tasty!

Perhaps I’ll buy some nuts and seeds to throw in as well.
