Somehow, on the last day before Goose Break, I still managed to get some work in! This morning, I had the Secondary 1s – the equivalent of Grade 7s – practiced reading coordinates from a Cartesian plane through the use of Bingo! This fantastic 15-minute activity comes from an interactive whiteboard lesson off the Smart Exchange.
After that, we reviewed the concepts around food chains. A lot of them still struggle with words consumers and producers so I thought we’d make some food pyramids*. Mind you, on days like this, I can’t get them to even come up with their own food chains, so sadly, they were only willing to copy off my exemplar.
